Epson Moverio, World's First Android Glasses
Jakarta, not only in the smartphone or tablet, Android operating system is now also used in the glasses as well. Epson developed the glasses based on Android 2.2 or Froyo who claimed first in the world. What kind of ability?
Epson Moverio BT-100, the name of these glasses. These glasses have an integrated micro projector that can display a 2D or 3D content on the screen built in QHD 960x540 pixels.
As quoted from ITProPortal, Saturday (03/31/2012), video is projected to each eye with the same experience as watching a 80 inch screen. These glasses also have the facility to listen to surround sound earbuds.
To regulate the content, there is Wi Fi Android-based controller that can play content in various formats. Including MPEG-4 (AVC/H.264), MP3, and AAC. Content from websites like YouTube can also be played with ease.
There is also a built in 1GB storage and can be enlarged with a memory card. Moverio first marketed in Japan last year, but now can be purchased in the United States. The price is quite expensive, which is in the range of USD 700 or USD 6 million.
